INCI Levulinic Acid

Levulinic acid is a naturally occurring acid resulting from the degradation of cellulose. It is naturally present in many plants, including sugar cane. It is a mild preservative that controls and limits the growth of microorganisms in the care products in which it is incorporated, without altering the color, pH and properties of the other ingredients present in the formula. Its excellent anti-bacterial properties enrich the Gentle Shampoo 0-3 years.
