Floral waters and essential oils: the miracle ingredients of our skincare products!

You often see floral waters in our products, but are you sure you know what they are? If not, we'd like to give you a quick reminder about these precious ingredients that make our products such high quality skincare products.

Floral waters are liquid, aromatic extracts composed mainly of water. They also contain trace elements and aromas, all of which contribute to the immune defense of children and adults alike.

The concentration of these elements is higher in essential oils than in floral waters. Anideal floral water for your children is one that is preservative-, solvent- and alcohol-free. If a floral water guarantees these conditions, you can use it for your children without fear, either internally through the diet or externally through various skin care products.

Floral waters are obtained by steam distillation of certain compounds contained in plants and flowers. The steam passes through the flowers, impregnating them with lipids and other compounds. Once combined, the essential oil is formed. To obtain floral water, simply collect the water enriched with essential oils.

The floral waters we use in our skincare products are witch hazel, recognized for its toning and purifying properties, orange blossom, which adds softness, chamomile, which is soothing and anti-inflammatory, and peppermint, which protects and strengthens. 

In our liquid formulas, water, generally the main ingredient in cosmetic formulas, is replaced by floral waters, enriched with active ingredients and carrying multiple properties.
