Sodium benzoate is the sodium salt of benzoic acid. It can be made synthetically, but is naturally found in certain fruits such as plums and apples, as well as in cinnamon, tea and cloves.
It is a preservative whose antimicrobial effects inhibit the growth of fungi, yeast and bacteria in an acidic environment. The sodium benzoate used in our products is of natural origin and is present in the Gentle Shampoo 0-3 years, the Washing Gel, the 1st Toothpaste, as well as the Detangling Care Enfance Paris.
