It’s Christmas baby
06. 12. 2023

From the sublime Christmas windows of the department stores to the long illuminated avenues, Paris the city of light makes no secret of its pleasure in shining a thousand lights during the festive season. If you're visiting Paris with the kids, we've put together a selection of activities combining culture and adventure to help you convince the kids to follow you to the exhibitions....

Exhibition: MIKE KELLEY, at the bourse du commerce - Pinault foundation. A kid-friendly retrospective of the American artist until February 19, 2024. As an added bonus, family visits are available for accompanied children aged 6 to 12, every Sunday at 11.15am and Monday to Friday at 4pm during the school vacations.

Bonus: Just behind the Bourse du Commerce, the 4.3-hectare Nelson Mandela garden offers two play areas for 2/6 and 7/11 year-olds. The older children's play area, accessible at fixed times, is off-limits to parents - a dream for children! Accompanied by an activity leader, your children will move around on trampolines, climbing trees, rocket launching ramps...

Exhibition: Rothko MARK ROTHKO at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. You will discover an exceptional collection of 115 mesmerizing and masterful works by the painter. From his early figurative paintings to the abstraction that defines his work today. On view until 02.04.2024.

Bonus: Off course Le Jardin D'Acclimatation. Impossible to resist the charm of this park on a human scale, at once old-fashioned and anchored in its time. Since 1860, it has seduced young and old with its pretty carousels, inimitable guignol theater, and new attractions for thrill-seekers alike....

Exhibition: The Louvre A must, in the crowning glory of Parisian museums. For a visit without pressure, draw a lottery beforehand to choose a collection, a theme, an era or an exhibition. This way, we'll all have the same objective, and the quality of the visit will be more important than the quantity. In any case, it's impossible to do the whole thing in a hurry, it's too big :)

Bonus: France's most chic funfair, nestled in the heart of the Tuileries between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, with the Eiffel Tower as background. Here you'll find all the must-have rides to scream with joy or fear, depending on your taste. A little extra: a Christmas market with every imaginable sweet and even a mini ice rink! It's a guaranteed hit with the kids.
